So you want to know my thoughts on Shonda?
Once upon a time, there was a show called Grey’s Anatomy, that took place in a magical land called SGH. Doctors lived there, from McDreamy to McSteamy, and up through the first few years, they lived a happy life. People got married, bomb crisis’ were solved, candle houses were built, clinical trials were a success, Erica Hahn was thrown out, people met the future love of their lives, the twisted sisters were born, people were good for more than sex, you know the rest. Everything was quality, and everyone was happy. Ratings of this magical land were high and flowing.
BUT THEN, one stormy, rainy night, the ShonBeast awoke from it’s slumber. With a sudden anger from an untapped source, the beast unleashed, slowly annihilating characters at her own pace, may it be physically or mentally. George was hit by a bus. Izzie got cancer and left the love of her life for no apparent reason. The Mercy Westers invaded. ShonBeast was having so much fun. Characters personalities began to change and go out of the ordinary- Callie, Mark, Derek, Meredith- and they started doing things they wouldn’t normally do.
But you see, ShonBeast got bored one day, so she thought to herself: ‘Huh, why not throw a shooting in the mix?’ and she sent her BFF/friend with benefits, Gary Clark, to the hospital. She sat back, relaxed, and watched Alex get shot, Derek get shot, Cristina have a gun held to her head, Owen get shot, Bailey beg for life, Callie and Arizona meet Gary, and the Chief watch Gary shoot himself. ShonBeast cackled as she watched Meredith loose McBaby. She had such a good time.
ShonBeast continued through the 7th year to brutally take out the personalities of all of her characters. She laughed as she broke up OTPs. She said to everyone, “It’s my kingdom, I can do what I want!” And she enjoyed herself. She was blind, unknowingly watching her show crumble beneath her.
Who knows what Season 8 will bring to these doctors of SGH- which is no longer a magical land at all?
